INTRODUCTION

A number of resources and background documents were used during the development of the Arctic Maritime and Aviation Transportation Infrastructure Initiative, and it is our objective to continue to add to this list as other documents and websites become available.

AMATII foundational documents can be found on the AMATII project page – including The Arctic Marine Shipping Assessment 2009 Report and the Arctic Council Status of Implementation of the AMSA 2009 Report Recommendations, both issued by the Protection of the Arctic Marine Environment Working Group of the Arctic Council. Below is a link to the report from a 2009 AMSA follow-up workshop, as well as the text of the Arctic Council’s SAR Agreement: Agreement on Cooperation on Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue in the Arctic 7th Ministerial Meeting of the Arctic Council, Nuuk, Greenland.
